Nandini launches mango lassi



President of the Kalaburagi and Bidar District Milk Producers Union Revanasiddappa V. Patil launched mango-flavoured Nandini Lassi here on Thursday.

Mr. Patil said the new product, available in 200ml packet, was priced at Rs. 15. If it received good response, the federation plans to produce 1,000 litres of lassi a day, he said. Initially the federation plans to produce 500 packets per day.

He said the farmers should make full use of the concessions extended by the government to increase milk production in the district. Currently the total production of milk in the district was 58,146 litres a day as against the demand of 70,948 litres a day. The federation owned seven chilling plants, including one in Kalaburagi with a storage capacity of one lakh litres, and six in Bidar district with a total storage capacity of 66,000 litres, Mr. Patil said.


It is available in  200ml packets and is priced at Rs. 15
